Safe, clean and well-maintained homes — in line with our standards and applicable law, including the warranty of habitability.

Essential requirements

  1. 01Professional cleaning of the property, indoors and outdoors, removing any trash or debris.
  2. 02HVAC system in good working condition, with a new filter installed.
  3. 03All appliances and mechanical elements functioning properly.
  4. 04Kitchen and bathroom caulking clean and free of mildew.
  5. 05Proper functioning of doors and locks.

Full rent-ready requirements

  1. 01Professional cleaning to a standard comparable to a hotel room.
  2. 02Professional carpet cleaning.
  3. 03Fresh paint on all surfaces — full-surface repaint, no touch-ups.
  4. 04Vertical or mini-blinds on all bedroom windows.
  5. 05Removal of all personal property, furniture and decorations.
  6. 06Garage floor swept clean.
  7. 07Property exterior free from debris.
  8. 08Lawn mowed and trimmed.
  9. 09Landscaping well-maintained and neat.
  10. 10Wall-mounted carbon monoxide detectors within 15 feet of each bedroom.
  11. 11Smoke detectors on each floor and in each bedroom.
  12. 12Vertical blinds on the back sliding door.
  13. 13All light bulbs working.
  14. 14Doors operate smoothly, with doorstops installed.
  15. 15Fresh bathroom caulking, free from mildew.
  16. 16All mechanical components working — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and safety features.
